The Sebring Historical Society hosted Pioneer Daze at the Highlands County Fairgrounds in the Alan Jay Arena.  Pioneer Daze 2023 marked a cross-cultural gathering, combining historical exhibits, cultural celebrations, and interactive family activities in Sebring, providing uniques opportunity for residents and visitors to connect with the city’s pioneering past.

Curated and presented by Selvin Walker, Junctions' exhibit commemorated “Washington Heights - The Colored Quarters" in Sebring, Florida.” The exhibit was vibrant and educational, celebrating The Seventh Addition to the City of Sebring, Washington Heights, Sebring, Florida.  Junctions' display included photos and video narratives, focusing on the early years of the Negro community.

Results: The exhibit ran for one day, October 21, 2023, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with over 85 visitors touring the exhibit.
